    Starting a business in HK

I have been researching a bit today but have come across varying views on opening a business in HK.

I'm just interested in a very specific sector in sales, so in order to get wholesale pricing I'll need to be registered, or at least I would think so?

So, being here on a dependent visa, can i legally open a web based business? I'd really like to do things in the legal way, if possible, but I am certainly not talking about anywhere near the investment visa level here.

What can I do? (husband is not a PR, we have only been here just over 1 year) Can i "open" a business in the US and be an employee of said company here? Give me some ideas, I know someone has done something like this before.

You can work any way you want on a Dependant Visa. Obviously there are rules to go through in registering a business - if you're not going to employ anyone else then a sole proprietorship is probably the way to go.
