Coming to HK -looking for work experience teaching English

Hi All,

Hope you're well.

I am a native English speaker coming to HK in October 2016 for 2 weeks. I plan to teach English abroad in the future.

Can anyone assist me with finding work experience at a school during my stay? I can only do 2-3 days at most but it would really give me insight as to what it is like plus am also great with kids!

If you want a real challenge, find an NGO and see if they run after hours / day time english classes.

Is this on a Working Holiday Visa, dependent visa, or are you a permanent resident of Hong Kong? Working in Hong Kong, even volunteering, requires an appropriate visa or residency.

Hi, I'm literally just coming for a holiday. If that is the case, can I apply for some form of temporary visa?

I can think of a few places, but they require a commitment.

Sounds like you would need to apply for the Working Holiday Scheme. Better check that you are eligible.

You can probably give up this idea by staying in HK for 2 weeks only and can only do 2-3 days at most.
