Hong Kong film industry (post production)

I'd like to hear from anyone with advice or insight in the Hong Kong film industry. I've noticed a lot of Hong Kong films do their post in Australia or NZ, so I'm wondering if there's a lack of skillset in HK for high end film editing and post? I'm an Australian editor, my focus is scripted narrative features films, however Australia doesn't make enough feature films to live on, so I supplement my income with broadcast TV, corporate and advertising work (which I'm also very experienced in). I'm wondering if I would have better prospects in Hong Kong? Is there a skills gap in terms of editors, where there's only a few very experianced film editors, and the rest are TV commercials editors, and that's why they do a lot of post offshore?

Most post productions are now based in China.

    Thanks for your reply,
I'm guessing China film industry is still quite hard to work in if you don't speak mandarin? The reason I was thining of Hong Kong was because I think it's easier for English speakers...
