GEP Working Visa Validity

Hi All,

I got my first GEP visa back in Oct, 2014 and it was valid for 12 months. On the visa, it says "Good for first journey to Hong Kong on or before Jan 2015". Just wondering if it starts the 12 months counting right after the visa issuance date (to my case, which is Oct) or it actually starts when you first arrive in Hong Kong (I arrived and activated my visa in Nov)? Cheers.

The clock starts ticking when it is activated upon arrival in HK, so November.
