Question Applying For a Network Engineer Position in HK (not uni grad). Need Your Advice

Permanent resident here. I am planning to apply for network engineer position in HK as someone who is not uni graduate, but is self training and planning to take a vendor certification exam. What qualifications the industry need most here? Would certificates help? If so which vendor certification or technical skills do the industry looking for the most here? Thank you GeoExpat community

Cisco (past the CCNA unless you're looking at entry level) or or possibly Juniper certifications if there is an equivalent. You should already know this if you have any networking experience whatsoever though.

    Not Network+.

While you are preparing for Networking certifications, I would recommend starting from a data center roles, as it could be a nice stepping stone to work as a network engineer in future. I would also recommend to look into cloud related certification aslong with the basic CCNA , as skills in virtualized networks are required for network engineer these days.
