    Hongkong Job Scene for Bankers?

I found a job in Hongkong as a Drama/English teacher. Our next goal now is to find a job for my boyfriend who is a banker. He has worked for the same company for 13 years now. Though that may be the case, he has been promoted many times and has a lot of exposure to different banking tasks, procedures, and responsibilities. He was born and raised in the Philippines and that is where he works now too. If he applies through jobsdb and career times, would anyone know of his chances? I can see that there a lot of jobs and there doesn't seem to be enough people to fill the positions. Does he stand a good chance? I'm not too sure if there is a bit of a "discrimination" against Filipino workers there in Hongkong. Please enlighten. Thanks. ;-)

    What sort of banking?

You can assume that the retail sector is not too open to expats -- unless you're in the backoffice / senior management.

If race is that much of an issue (sometimes it is an issue with the chips we carry on our shoulders), you could always approach the filipino banks.
