Red face Hong Kong nursing agencies?

    Hi
So I am a theatre scrub nurse in the UK and I want to try and find an agency who can help me get a job in Hong Kong?
I tried finding them but most are UK agencies for HK nurses so wrong way round 🙈
And has anyone been through it, if so any advice?

    Thank you in advance 😊

My parents are from Hong Kong
I just don't know how to read and write

If you can speak no problem at all.
Writing or reading is not necessary.

I don't think we have nursing agencies in the same way that the UK does since the industry is more regulated / protected. Once the legal change @emx posted takes place (it will because the government has no opposition) you can apply directly with the hospitals. In fact, the government will probably start actively poaching British nurses like what they are doing for doctors right now

Check out the Mathilda Hospital website for career info. You might fit better there? Good luck

Seems like currently you would need to sit the Nursing exam.
There seems to be only 2-25 nurses sitting / passing the text every six months / year.

Not sure what 'temporary registered' nurses would be doing. Maybe trainee nurse activities, like changing adult nappies, cleaning up messes, etc. Can't see them working with patients or administering medication unless they can read English...

Seems like the March exams are already started... Not sure when the practical would be. They have past exam papers online.

Try this. They are local and supply all the private hospitals and nursing homes.
