Plenty of English learning centers who will be happy to have you if you talk with a north american accent. The pay is not that brilliant though.

There is also a good market for english conversational coaching. Rates run at about $150-250/hour.

Thanks shri for the useful info. Can you tell me some places for converational coaching. Are the companies willing to sponsor me a work visa? I will be living in Taipo for free so most of my expenses are covered. Currently i am a conversation club leader at the YMCA so that will be an asset.

Should be simple for an accountant ... you save what you don't spend. The company is probably ripping you off for $15K. (let me guess .. you've been offered a job by another Indian company thats probably looking for a bargain?)

You might be able to save .. you might not, would depend on how frugal a lifestyle you live.

15K for a CA? ..hm..as mentioned in the above message...is your company an indian firm or chinese firm...15k sounds a bit low...

your question of is 15 k enough for surviving in HK..it all depends on your lifestyle...if u do not care about luxurious life..then u wont need to spend a few K on an condo with facilities..maybe 5 to 8K is enough...and then it also depends if u always eat out at restaurants or just fast food joints or cook at home...

or else i think anybody can survive on 15 k...coz i know people surviving on 10k and lives by themself...

by the way..is your company offering u an apartment for coming to HK to work?
