I should add some more information. I currently work for the Federal government in Logistics and going to Boston College for an MBA (I have a Finance Undergrad) I am considering if it is worthwhile to take a pay cut and try to get a job at one of the financial services in the area. and potentially delay my MBA or strive ahead finish the MBA and then go forward on a career change.
My wife is from HK and so I have will have no problem with a work permit. She will have no trouble getting a job there.
Finance is such a broad term. Plenty of expats in all sorts of jobs. US CPA's doing accounting work for US expats, invesment bankers, analysts, financial reporters, financial controllers .. list goes on.
hey Jeff
Same situation here, vietnamese, graduated in the US in Finance. Moving back to HK with my hubby, and looking for a job. I do not speak cantonese. What about private banking? Are you planning to take any cantonese lessons? If i hear anything, i'll let you know. In the mean time, i heard private banking is a hot field.

Hello,
Please do tell me what you find. My wife tells me most people find jobs through headhunters. I am interested if that also goes for expats.
