Hold HKSAR passport can work in China?

I born in Hong Kong and am holding a HKSAR and US passport. I am living in the US right now and my husband and I have been thinking to move back to Hong Kong eventually.

While I would like to live back home, I am also open to work in China if better opportunities for us. My question is can I work in China as a Hong Kong citizen? Do I need to get any paperworks in order to work in China? I know I'm a Chinese nationality, but does it equal to Chinese nationality to China? Would my US passport impact my job opportunities in China?

    Thanks for your advice.

Yes, I have that card, a HKID and a HK Driver's License. So I should able to work and live in mainland freely? Does China have dependent visa that I can apply for my husband who is a US citizen?

    Thanks!

the thing that you need to figure out is, will you be actually staying in China for the whole year or will you live in HK and commute back and forth. You are still liable to be taxed if you go past the 183 day limit for China, thats 40% tax.

    read this website. http://home.wangjianshuo.com/archive...x_in_china.htm

another website for you to review. http://www.shanghaitechwriter.com/20...or-foreigners/

No your husband cannot get a dependant visa on your return home permit. The home return permit allows you to visit or do business in China it does not entitle you to work there. For this you would need permission from the authorities. In theory you should also report to local authorities if you intend to stay there for more than 24 hours! Most holders of the home return permit working in China are working for HK companies.

You husband would be eligible for a dependant visa in Hong Kong, however he would need a visa in his own right to enter China.

And a HK Driver's licence isn't valid in China - you would need to get a Chinese one.
