I'm negotiating for my package to move to HK from Singapore.
Would anyone be able to advise what is a typical housing allowance international investment bank associates get?
I understand that it's quite typical to get a housing allowance.

You can try to negocitate the brand new Four Season Hotel Service appartment for 360.000....a month....
It was quite typical, but is falling more and more by the wayside so get it if you can.
I think 15,000-25,000 for a single person might be reasonable. Better to find a place you want to live, figure out the price, and then hit them with that + 50%
Hi,
To my knowledge, if you're with a bank and at analyst/associate level, it's all pretty much standard and non-negotiable.
Maybe at MD/Senior VP level.. but not junior.
cheers.
I've never head of analyst / associate level getting housing allowance either. It normally only kicks in at VP level, but when it does, can run into tens of thousands a month.
To july girl:
I think if you're in the industry, you should be aware of the front/middle/back office.
front office analyst/associate WILL get housing provided hired frm headoffice on expat terms
middle/back office typically no allowance for associate
maybe different for your bank, but this is the common case.
i'm new to this forum, but this is what i'm aware of.
cheers
