Investment Banking/Finance Jobs in HK

Hi All,

First time posting here. I was wondering whether there are any finance professionals on this board. I'm currently located in NYC and am looking to relocate to HK. Due to a number of internal political issues, I am unable to do an internal transfer within my bank to HK and was curious about whether it is tough to find a finance (investment banking/hedge funds/private equity) job in HK these days.

depends on your experience and track record. if you're good and have plenty of years, then no problem to find something

not that easy.
for top tier I-bank, not much opening in the FO esp there are still quite a number of people looking for jobs in the market after the credit crunch..but at the end of the day, it all depends on how good you are.
still have a chance..

agree with joljon. job market is gradually picking up in hk and banks have started hiring. but seems to me that they are still cautious about hiring. many of my ibank friends have got interviews last 2 months but are awaiting to hear from banks. so, better to wait a bit more if you're not in a hurry to move to hk
