    Career advice

I am a newcomer to the forum and would like to seek some advice on my career development (or rather the lack of it!) in Hong Kong.

I am a Chinese-Canadian female in my mid-40’s who can’t speak or write Chinese. I obtained my permanent residency a few years ago so my legal status is not an issue here.

I am currently working for a North American corporate firm as its English Trainer on a contract basis and I quite enjoy the work that I do even though it’s only part-time work with no perks or any employment benefits.

Here comes the weird part – as much as I enjoy teaching English, I love being and working with animals (especially dogs!) more. I am a lifelong dog lover and I dream of retiring back home in Canada in a decade or so with a gaggle of rescued dogs running around in my backyard.

Until then, I would like to dabble in the wonderful world of dog training. Does anyone happen to know whether there are any legitimate obedience training courses/programs offered in English in Hong Kong?

Thanks in advance for any advice or feedback.

You might have better luck with this thread if you put it in the pet forum and relable the title so that some of the people on here who own kennels (and thus might know the answer) spot it.....

The only (two) dog trainers in HK I know of were trained in Australia.

Perhaps carang (member) will have some other information.
