    Bloomberg

    Hello
    (First Post)

I'm considering a position with Bloomberg (Tech Support) in Hong Kong or Singapore. I've never been to either country. I'm single and have no kids. I've been living in Europe for the past eight years.. Asia is next!

Ok, Are there any expats on here that work for Bloomberg?
Pros and Cons for working for Bloomberg? Reputation?

Any general comments or suggestions would be wonderful. (Even if you don't work for Bloomberg)

    Cheers.

    Oh yeah,

what's the avg. salary for tech support in hong kong or singapore?

approx. how much is enough to live, save, and enjoy life in either country?

    it's quite a boring job.
u are going to get alot of nasty calls from traders and traders are not the best ppl to deal with. since traders are paying 1.5k USD per month to use bloomberg they expect you to solve every single one of their problem.

that's provided u already know details of job scope.

as for pay and etc.. those i shall leave to the rest to comment.
but generally in sg its cheaper to live than in hk. mainly with living quarters i suppose

sorry to bring this old thread back up but one of my friend is at a similar situation. Can someone list the pros/cons in working at bloomberg(HK) beside the ones that has already been mentioned.

is it a really stressful place?? long hours and no overtime pay? a lot of gossips?
