Went for a walk in Hubei Village in Shenzhen a couple of weeks ago . . . it is old, run down and slated for demolition to make way for a mall (because as we all know, China needs more malls). It also has dark ally ways where the sun never touches the ground because of how close the buildings are to each other. This is the closest thing I've seen to what the Kowloon Walled City must have looked like. A couple of pics I snapped . . .
