It's been scrapped. They may extend the West Rail to Tuen Mun South though. Maybe near the ferry pier.

Are you interested in that piece of land?

Hopefully this Tuen Mun extension will never come, Westrail is already so crowded...

--totally agree. It's full at Long Ping. You have to wait if at Yuen Long or Kam Sheung Rd. Already increased intervals to 2 minutes. Not sure how they can accommodate the new housing planned at all sites. It's full!

Need an East NT connection via west NT connecting Tuen Mun, Sham Tseng, Tsuen Wan West and Hk side. Access to hk side in less than 20 minutes would be ideal.

Scrapped as I understand, which is, in my view, a good thing. Not really needed in the area. Most people I know who chose to live there did it because they like the lifestyle...the MTR would kill that. Kinda like putting and MTR (to put the extreme) in Shek O.

+1 for glad it's scrapped. It would have destroyed the coastline too. The best bit about riding the bus home is the view.

The Tsuen-Tuen link has been looked at a few times but prohibitively expensive to build a 18Km underground railway that would release significant land for building. There are more important rail projects that must come first.

If a survey has been conducted, then maybe the owner of that land is looking to change the land use. It's private info so you won't find any info on public domain (unless it's been submitted to district council for review).
