is there any reputable place that sells this camera around 3500 or is too soon for the price to be this low. i know the msrp is just under 4000

Well I guess the price has dropped to around $3600, since it is already a few (4) months old now.
If you are really looking for an even cheaper price, you should be able to find it in Mongkok and places around that area, make sure it has warranty.

so i was in tst this past week and they have the s3 going for as low as 2800 hkd. it was a place on nathan road across from lacoste or that park. are the places on nathan road reliable or are they selling grey market goods or they'll attempt the bait and switch on me?

remember don't buy goods from those
"duty free" shops...
they are "black shops"....
