so true about the grass under your feet - apart from a random football pitch where is it actually possible to experience that in hk?

Long summer evenings and the arrival of spring and Foyles book shop in Charing Cross Road.

I was quite shocked when I went back to the UK last May at how run down the place seemed to be. Nothing to tempt me back other than to experience spring or summer for a week or two. The food is still as awful as ever compared to the rest of Europe. (I hate roast dinners, yorkshire pudding, fish and chips, deep-fried Mars bars etc).

How can you hate roast dinners and yorkshire puds!! As a soft southerner I can understand why you don't like fish and chips, I had some in London and they were crap. Go up to the east coast, yummy. My wife lived on fish and chips when she was there.
