    Chocolate chip cookies & muffins

Ok, I've pretty much tried everything on the shelves at supermarkets and places like Mrs Fields and they just don't measure up. Too dry, too crumbly, too tasteless, just plain foul... Where can I get really good chocolate chip cookies here?

Also choc muffins. I want, need even, a Starbucks chocolate choc chip muffin as they are in the UK/US. Again, so dry and tasteless here.

    Please!

Sigh. I understand your dissatisfaction. If only I have an oven ... (not a microwave, for those "smart" people out there)

    Wink muffins

I am a muffin holic. still finding the best chocolate chip cookie as well. But i settle with Mrs fields. For muffins I recommend Chocolate chunk Macadamian nut muffin at the Mandarin Oriental cake shop it is delicious. And if you like raisins, their raisin apple muffin is loaded with raisins. You can forget about trying the blueberry and the chocolate banana muffin at the Mandarin as its tasteless and floury. FOrget about there cookie as well.
The chocolate muffin at Rose is very chocolatey very good as well. It is a bakey inside Olivers Delicatssen located at 3/F Princes builidng opposite to the Mandarin Oriental.

Being guilty of enjoying all things chocolate, it is with great interest that I read about chocolate chip muffins. I am by no means a muffin expert, but the chocolate chunk macadamian muffin you describe has me hungry! Any other recommendations of chocolate muffins? (I am not interested in raisins, etc - they just get in the road).

    Cheers!

What you need is a Dutch Oven, preferably cast iron and with legs, and you can sneer at the people who use ovens.

If you do get an oven, the only place that I could find muffin tin and cookie sheet was City Super.. $80 HKD for a cookie sheet, ridicules, and I had to look hard to find it.. no one I asked had any idea what a cookie sheet was..
