    Smile Hair straightening

I am visiting Hong Kong several times a year and have heard I can have my hair straigtenend at a more reasonable price than Australia.
I have shoulder length hair. Can anyone recommend first hand a salon where I may go and approx cost

everyone in Hong Kong must already have straight hair, as I have not had any replies to my question about straigtening. Thanks anyway, maybe I'll go curly

their "power straightening" is at hkd 1800. it can be done much more cheaply at salons that have a more run-down apperance.

You can also get it done cheaply at some of the local salons at more local places, like Kennedy Town. However, if you don't speak Cantonese, you might have communication problem as not many of them speak good English.

Although I can speak some Cantonese but as I am not sure what kind of products they are using, I opted Aveda. It costed about HKD 2000 ++ and effect only lasted for 2 or 3 months...

My hair is kind of straight naturally but I had it straightened because I thought it will make it easier to manage. However, after a few weeks of uncomfortable experience of not being able to put my hair behind my ear/tie it up, it didn't really make much different. Now, I am back to my "real" hair style, which to outsiders, not much different. I won't have it done again because I don't think it's worth it.

Actually, lots of Asian girls wanted curly hair. Why do you want to straighten it?

I have been doing mine for abt 6 years now.

5 times I did it at Salon Esprit for approx 1600.00.

Last month, I went to a place in Aberdeen (no frills place) but large and always busy as can be and paid 836.00 for the exact same 3 and a half hour painful yet wonderful process.

I love the results but cannot stand sitting in a chair for long. Must be done tho. Too humid here.

    Hair Straightening

Thanks for the great tips, keep them coming. I have been starightening my hair for 25 years so I am unlikely to stop now, especially since I live in the tropics (frizz).
Do you have the name of the Salon in Aberdeen please?
