Freestanding Stove top / hobs / hotplates

I have just moved into a flat that does not have any sort of hotplate in the kitchen. I have just done some research on hotplates and am thinking that I might want to go for induction hobs that would sit on the counter (but probably not the cheap single hob ones you sometimes see in supermarkets). The only problem is that I have no idea where to start looking for such things. I would like to look at some options and would welcome any advice.

    Thanks.

Check some department stores. Jusco, UNY, Sogo, Wing On, etc

Thanks. For general information, I ended up going to PriceRite on Nathan Road (at Soy Street) where I bought a Midea OSH 20A induction hob for $495. A modest little hob, but it should do me for now. The pan that came with it seemed to add a strange taste to the first thing I cooked in it, so shall check it out again and if I still have problems I shall of course use another pan!
