    Pinata

    Hello all,
Does anyone know where I could buy a pinata?

Or perhaps I should just make one...

Never heard of a place where you can buy one, but I always made one for my birthday when I was growing up here. It's very easy to do - buy large baloon and blow it up to a good size. Then cover it in strips of newspaper/papermache (generally coat the strips of newspaper with glue mixture and apply). Make sure you do a few layers of this so it'll be strong enough to hold the candy. When the newspaper/papermache is dry, pop the baloon and remove it. Then you can decorate your (admittedly egg-shapped) pinata with crepe paper or whatever you want really! Obviously you leave a hole in the top open to put the candy in. Hope this has helped!

I saw pinatas at Toys club last week. It's on #8 Queens Rd. You could also try ToyRus. They have a huge party section.
