    Handmade shoes for men

Hi, can anyone point me to the right place and price?

I'm looking to make some dress shoes for less than HKD$1500, possible?

    Less than $1500?

Quality will not be good for that price. Stick to off the rack

Actually I saw a number of leather shops one street down from Nathan Rd in Mongkok. They have handmade shoes. You will have to speak Canto as they won't speak English.

You can go to Ming Kee, G/F, 30 Bowring St. 2730 4815. They should be able to do something around your budget. Take a reference photo for what you want.

Nice old guy runs the shop, helpful and friendly. There's usually someone around who speaks a bit of English if necessary.

To be frank though, the quality's not actually that great. Custom-made but glued together rather than stitched etc.

As others have pointed out already, the OP will not get far for the stated budget. I found Mayer's (in the Mandarin Arcade) to be decent value, starting at HKD2,500 to HKD3,000 per pair.
Also, Kow Hoo is excellent - but at a multiple of HKD1,500...
