Groupon - HK - Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZR3 (not worth it)

Groupon offering a Panasonic Lumix DMC - ZR3 camera at $ 1999 (saying its original price is $ 3090.

    Price.com.hk shows its value @ $ 1460

Groupon is adding a 4 GB card and a camera bag, but I don't think its worth $ 530.

Groupon link - $1999 for Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZR3+memory card+more at PanaShop ($3090 value)

    Price.com link - Panasonic DMC-ZR3 - DC 數碼相機 - 隨身數碼 - 香港格價網 Price.com.hk

what do you think about this deal

Bear in mind that the blue character that sits next to the cheapest prices on Price.com.hk = 水貨價格 which means parallel import ( probably from Japan ), not via the HK authorised supplier though. Warranties might be different etc.

Not in all cases but usually is...

There is a character KEY at the bottom of the Price.com.hk page that lists what the different colour characters mean. pictured here > Name: Character key.JPG

I cant confirm that unfortunately, for some reason that camera model number isn't listed on the HK panasonic website, unable to see what the authorised HK Recommended Retail Price was. That would be the highest price you could pay etc.

Without knowing that, I cant say where they get the 30% off garb from, and what they based it on...

Maybe they lied lol, it wouldn't be the first time a HK offer has been a bit heavy on the creative, narrative lol.....

The Panasonic website in HK is pretty crap. It's probably a discontinued line. 香港格價網 Price.com.hk is your best option.

Check also Panasonic and Cnet Asia and US websites. Model numbers sometimes vary from region to region.

Google finds the model from the website:first hit

    DMC-ZR3

The model is discontinued, out of stock in newegg.com and on Amazon you can find it both cheaper and more expensive, all depends on which colour you prefer:

Expensive. You can get this camera free in London at Dixons or Curry's (after dark).
