    Model Tanks and Aircraft

Do any of you know where I can buy 1:72 model tanks and / or aircraft kits? I live in the mid levels but am happy to go anywhere on the MTR.
    Cheers.

UML Hobby on Pennington Street in Causeway Bay has what you need I think...tons of military and other models (not sure of the scale though...)

google them and call them up. bigger shop in Mongkok as well.

I used to pop in to the Tamiya store on Caine Road almost everyday on my way home from school back in the day. They're no longer there, but if you want to buy Tamiya kits, you'll have to head over to 35A Waterloo Road (shows up on Centamap as Tsui Yuen Mansion Phase 1, 31 - 39A Waterloo Road) to this shop called... Wang Kee. Their number is 2781 1083.

Another Tamiya distributor is Waigo Hobby:

    G/F, 7-8 Tung Fong Street
Yau Ma Tei, Kowloon, Hong Kong
(Yau Ma Tei MTR station, exit A2)
    Tel: 2384 0003

Agree that UML has a great range - the MK one is on the 3rd floor (general toys on the 2nd) you can see their big sign from Nathan Rd - the entrance is from the side street up the stairs.
Try Sai Yee St north of Argyle St in MK - a couple of smaller places there.
Also Concorde in Lai Chi Kok Rd near Sham Shui Po - an older place and another hobby shop diagonally opposite (sorry i don't have exact addresses)

I went to a couple of places that had an amazing number of models. I want to get one for my nephew that he has to assemble and these had very little for him to do.

Are you looking for an Airfix type model, i.e. assemble using glue, paint, decals etc.?

    Friendly and helpful staff.
Yup, I got a bored 12 year old at home so we went model shopping yesterday and picked up a nice Ferrari + paints + brushes + knife for about $300.

    She is very happy today.
