If it's for a cheesecake base, you can't beat hobnobs!
are they digestives?
are they the ones that do a chocolate/caramel on top? if so, then i know what you're on about... otherwise, i know the name but no idea what hey are....
if i use digestives, can i just melt a little butter and mix it in with the crumbs? the same as i would with graham cracker crumbs?
No, completely different. They're oaty and crunchy and crumbly. I never use digestives for a cheesecake bases; it has to be hobnobs, sometimes with toasted chopped hazelnuts mixed in. *swoon*

Just checking a fav base (23cm tin), I use 175g Hobnobs, 50g melted butter and 50g coarsely chopped toasted hazelnuts.
If I HAD to use digestives () I would up the amount of butter to probably around 75g.
thanks, will definitely consider it. but would have quite a different taste than using graham crackers...
