Thanks,
I know yesasia is local, but prices are pretty expensive. And the movies i'm looking for and that they got, they don't sell them to HK residents, maybe because some distribution patents. So, the only way is to have someone to receive the dvds outside HK, then to send them back to HK.
I am looking for some HK made movies, I tried Hmv already, but they do not really have much, but they do have the oldest english movies.... I love old movies, I tried dvd shopes in Central, but they are limited too... I am looking for one in particular, Jacky Cheung "True Love"... but no luck till now... any local here can help???
Michelle,
Just go to any locaL DVD shop rather than HMV. There are many shops in Wan Chai, Causeway Bay, TST, Mongkok etc. For example, the chain Widesight usually has a pretty good range. There a branch in the street behind Sogo in Causeway Bay for example. You can also go to Broadway Cinemateque in Yau Ma Tei as mentioned earlier - it's an art house cinema with cafe, library and DVD/VCD shop with a wide range of both local and overseas movies.

If you're interested in really old HK movies then you should visit the HK Film Archive in Sai Wan Ho.

Todays (12th) HK Magazine may be your best friend. It has a small piece on a place called MadCat (Rm 507, Sino Centre, 582-592 Nathan Rd, MongKok)
Apparently stuffed full of "impossible-to-find DVDs"
I did visit madCat, they have nothing on HK movies ( maybe 5/10 titles ), only very rare western & Japanese movies.
