a friend was talking about garibaldi biscuits and I want to get him some in return for a favour he did

has any one seen any in HK

I tried M+S ( wanchai ) the so called food store.. ( pathetically small I thought to be directed there when I called the CWB branch.

here's a link to them if you are uninitiated..

They look very similar to the Singaporean biscuits in the purple & white package you can get in any Park n' Shop/Wellcome. However, the Wikipedia description makes these biscuits seem dry and tasteless! So I don't know if these are at all comparable, but it's $18 to find out...

Dunk in tea or coffee to improve the taste and dryness-issue.

Apologies if I am ignorant, but aren't they the same as the "Go ahead" biscuits (can be found in welcome or park and shop). But yes, yummy

As said above... I used to like the 'Kerk' brand sultana ones Lootoo mentioned, which are easily found in Wellcome (136g for $10.90, online):

The 'Go Ahead' McVitie's brand with similar sultana base has a choice of apple or orange mixed in 'em (yuck) and less crispy-dry in texture, which I don't like as much (also from Wellcome, 195g for $20.90):

Nothing all that worthy of raving about, though.

The real old Garibaldi biscuits were yummy - buttery and rich. The pale imitations mentioned above are dry and tasteless. Not seen here, though recently the PnS "Superstore" in Belchers Street Kennedy Town has had imported Waitrose biccies like custard creams. I shall look later today and report back...

Btw, a couple of weeks ago I was in me local Park n' Rob (CWB) and bought som Go Ahead biscuits and a pack of biscuits that seem very much like what Moto-x was looking for. Made by Arnott's in Oz.
