The headphones they give you on my airline has no noise supression and its very unpleasant. I just want to use my own headphones.

Pretty much an audio or headphone shop or computer mall. Let us know where you are and someone might be able to point you towards some suitable establishments in your locale.

Will they have it at the Wanchai computer centre? I'm in walking distance to there.

Then why don't you just walk over there and look around?

I just thought it is quite a specialty item and these normal computers stores won't have them, I'll go have a look of course. Thanks.

On the second floor of the wanchai computer centre there are 3 or 4 shops just selling headphones and they sell them

Check the shops theflyingbeagle mentioned or those specialized on selling all kinds of cables.

i used airplane adaptor via my nwzx1050 walkman ( built in noise cancellation)

check out mingo headphones (they have over 2000 headphones, 600 are avaiable to test) nathan rd, MK. they are headphones specialist, try sony noise cancelling headphones, teh sennheiser, the audio technica, see which suit your needs

Thanks, I'll head out and grab one tomorrow. On an unrelated note, is there a "correct" orientation for plugging them in on the plane?

If you plug it in the wrong way, wouldn't the left / right channels become reveresed? I know it really doesn't make any difference, but I'm really picky about this stuff and just wondering how you can tell which way is correct :P
