I think I know which shopping mall in LoWu you are talking about in ShenZhen, however I am not quiet sure. I lived in Beijing for many years and the biggest shopping mall there is WangFuJing near TianAnMen. Besides that there's XiDan is XiDan Subway Station. One new shopping mall with an impressive outside roof screen(you will see what I mean) has appeared in ChaoYang Qu, between LianBao and ChangAn street(I believe the silk market).
That's all I can think of right now. Have fun.
WangFuJing is nothing like Lowu, WangFujing is more like Times Square! No fakes in the WangFujing malls!
Xizhimen near the Zoo
if it is fakes you are after then obviously the silk market - but very overpriced, which is not surprising given the rents they pay there.
further north is a better option - ya shou, on worker's stadium north road near sanlitun. can't miss it - look for all the coaches outside. gets very busy on weekends. also lots of dvd stores nearby and good places to grab a coffee and snack.
previous poster said xizhimen but not sure you will get anything there you won't get at above two, although may get it a little cheaper. However, if staying in east of city -which is most likely -then silk market and ya shou will be enough. Plus, they are easier to find.
