They also have a branch in Stanely Plaza and I have been subsisting on their stuff now since September.

Emmie, have a look at the Wing On website they have good deals for online orders.
KK, to the rescue! Thanx... Sourdough, yummm...

Was also thinking of heading to Quarry Bay, Taikoo area, sometime soon anyway - dept stores, etc - And already know 'bout off Tong Chong St. Good info on the Wing On, too.

If you are heading to Taikoo it must be Octoberfest, where indecisions abound [east end or einstein] or as the locals[yokels] say
    2EB or E=mc2

its not every day your baker emails you

    Dear Kombuchakid

    Hello and how are you?

Tufei has been quiet for a while, it is not because we are lazy or we have forgotten YOU... We have made a few overseas gourmet hunting trips and tried a good effort in raising our new wild yeast baby.

We are now equipped with new mouth-tempting recipes and thank God, our new wild baby is growing ever so strong!!! The only hesitation is getting a new home for Tufei Painpain...its either too far away and inconvenient, or the rental is very very expansive!

Well, then an idea of "homemade" strikes our heads, so we decided to start tentatively herein:

    ************ START DATE: 24 OCT 2008 (FRIDAY) *************
Please visit our new webpage for more info. and to place an order:
    Shutterfly

Once again we would like to thank you for your passion and believe in Tufei, we look forward to seeing you soon!

    Yours truly,

    Harbans and Sarah.

    Hi,

We have been using a breadmaker for many years. Its Kenwood brand and it works pretty well.

However, many recipes usually require unbleached plain flour which is quite expensive and you end up paying more than the price that you would pay for the same bread in the local supermarket.

One more suggestion if you are going for the kenwood breadmaker and that is be careful not to wash the bread pan in the dishwasher. THe bread pan, in which you actually put the ingredients, is made of aluminum and the dishwasher destroys it in sometime.

Enjoy the fun of making bread at home.
