WTB: Brita Water Jug and Filter

    HI Everyone.
Just new here to HK and geoexpat. I have been searching threads about where to buy Brita water jugs but i've only been given old old threads.
Where can I buy a Brita water jug preferably in Kowloon (near Olympic MTR) but Central would be fine as well? A tap water filter is not going to work in our flat due to the tap design.
    Thank you.

Suspect Wing On will have them; probably also Sogo and Jusco. Or you could just drink the tap water.

I got mine in Wingon, in the basement. They had a special offer on Brita a few weeks back.

@ Moving: Please don't turn this into yet another thread about tap water versus anything else....

Unfortunately there is no guarantee that someone new has read every previous thread, thus it's worth pointing out just in case.

I did answer the question, with the same info as you plus other options, before mentioning tap water.

Brita only filter for taste anyway, so I'm guessing these are not daft people who think they need to boil the water. Filtering for taste is fine - purely personal preference rather than paranoia.

Carbon filters just make sense: they don't hurt, and water quality is only guaranteed up to where it enters your building. What your building or home's pipes are adding to the mix is a relative unknown, and the older your building, the more likelihood you're getting something phunky added to the mix. Carbon filters remove a lot more than just 'taste,' although the taste of water is determined by quite a few things, including volatile organic compounds.

HK water is pretty good by international standards, but it sure does taste murky!

Wing On in Central/Sheung Wan had them on special last weekend, may well still do.
