Those guys are MAD .... wonder when they'll figure out a way to put a Microwave oven into the EEE.
i have a heard a new version will come out in march.
the old version price will drop to below $2000 for 8G.
I bought mine in Mong Kok computer center. It include webcam and i've paid HK$180 to increase ram to 1GB. I've used linux (came installed with eeepc) for few days and I decided to switch it to windows xp professional and installed office 2003, adobe reader, firefox browser, blackberry software,etc.. i still have 1.40GB space left. for saving data document, I bought Hi-speed 8GB SD-Card. I use external LCD monitor and keyboard/mouse in office like docking station.. I don't have complaint about the performance and speed.

How easy was it to install XP etc?
I'm tempted to do it to mine but am afraid of bricking it as I don't have the recovery discs with me.
I used nLite ( nLite - Deployment Tool for the bootable Unattended Windows installation - About ) to remove all the unnecessary programs or whatnots on Windows XP Sp2 and made a new ISO which I burned. Saves a lot of space compared to a full blown install.
You do need the recovery disc though, the XP drivers are inside. HTH![]()
