Where to get an Aerobed in HK!

Need an Aerobed for a visiting friend. I found a thread here but it's from 2006, we all know how things change around here. I live in Soho, and would love to not go as far as Aberdeen to pick one up. Anyone know where to buy one? And how much are they?

This will not be helpful but before i moved here from the US, i was told that they aren't that available here and to buy one there and move it over. I found this hard to believe, but i haven't seen any here although I haven't really looked.

If worse comes to worse, maybe you can have one shipped from the US. I bought my from Target.com - maybe they ship this far?

    Rach

The Ma Wan consumer store is where I got mine. Sometimes they have then at the store in Wellington Street or try the store on the 13th Floor of Coda Plaza on MacDonnell Road above Park n Shop. They are about $500 each from memory and they are electric and inflate in just a few minutes.

If you're a regular visitor across the border you can get them in the Nanshan Decathlon store. Cost is about RMB90 for a single + 50 for a foot pump.

That sounds great, for $500! Are they the real Aerobed or some other brand? Reliable? My friend has to be on it for two weeks!

Remembering a flyer, I just called Tequila Kola, ALMOST FELL OFF MY CHAIR! $2480 for a twin, $2880 for double and $3180 for a queen. Good lord! I know Prince Bldg. is high rent and all, but that's just crazy. If anyone know a cheaper place for the "real" deal?

What area is MacDonnell Rd and where do I tell the taxi to go?

    Many thanks!

I think it is called Ma Wan Consumer store but it could be slightly different - anyway it is one of those stores that sells everything a bit like Japan Home Store. I have a double and a single but I did buy mine about 18 months ago now so can't guarantee that they still have them.

The beds are good - I slept on it for a week when my parents visited and I gave them my bed and because it plugs in I would just turn it on for about 30 seconds every night to make sure it was well pumped up.

MacDonnell Road is the road off Cotton Tree Drive that joins Magazine Gap, its in mid-levels at the eastern end of Caine Road, just a few minutes back from where Bowen Road begins.

Go to www.ypmap.com and put in Coda Plaza and you will get a map.

Went past the Wellington Street store today and saw that it was called Man Fung not Ma Wan. I was going to pop in and see if they still had them but the store was shut - first time I have ever seen it shut - weird. The sign is red white and green stripes and it is about 2 doors along from the Japan Home Store.

Anyway to answer your other question I have no idea what the brand name is but I know it isn't aerobed.

I think the brand is Intex. Have seen it in Coda Plaza too.
