...The professional Etymotics musician plugs are very expensive- several hundred USD. The latter are available from Widex, but I guess that is not what you are looking for.

The reason is that the special filters are patented. I got the silicone cast done from Widex for 200 HK$ and had them made in Germany where they were 1400 HK$ a pair compared to 2000 here.

For cheap ones, Tom Lee has yellow foam ones for 5 HK$ a pair.

you can also look at the Etymotic ETY Plugs, which reduce sound across the entire audible frequency range... The ETY plugs are still pretty cheap but you have to order them from overseas.
