    I use a sandwich maker for my toasting purposes, does the job well and can handle whatever I throw in... thick, thin, baguette, whatever!

    Surely, a toaster merely "toasting" bread is inadequate in these days of acute brand consciousness... How about these ideas?

    I bought a Philips one from HKTVMALL - worked out cheaper than Fortress, think it came out around $200 if I recall about 3 months back
