    Raincoat for my bag?

I regularly play football in various parks and courts around HK and often there is no suitable cover for me to place my sports bag. I was wondering if it's possible to get a cover that can waterproof the my belongings when just in case it goes from dry to torrential in a split second as happens fairly often in the summer! Thanks

Use a plastic bag to cover it

Whilst not the worst advice, I'd like something a bit more durable. Bags tend to get holes in, and larger black bin liners which would be big enough for my sports bag are probably the weakest bags of all!

I'm much more willing to pay for a good bag rather than use disposables and throw them in the bin if I can.

Why not invest in a nice waterproof bag? Many/most of the hiking shops will have 1 or 2 on display. They are not cheap but they do the job really well.

Alternative : order from US or UK. Like this one : http://www.gearculture.com/goods/ove...roof-backpack/

Caution : if you leave your sweaty and wet clothes in there for any more than an hour or 2, they will ferment and stink up the whole building when you reopen your bag...these bags are really watertight. Try not to leave your stuff in there for extended periods of time

The dedicated waterproof bag idea is the most obvious sensible one. They are often available at outdoor stores. http://www.ortliebusa.com/ProdList.asp?scat=3

Or get a Timbuk2 messenger bag- they are waterproof if you ensure that the flap covers the opening properly without being over the top such as the Ortleibs, and if you want them to ventilate you just leave the flap open.

Get a pack cover. Sold in hiking stores in various sizes they are designed to cover backpacks when worn but would just as easily cover a bag on the ground. But not sure about under the bag. Two would certainly do the job (one below and one on top).
Or just one wrapped around if the bag is small.

If I could find someone who has made a decent backpack out of it, I'd buy it. I love that pattern; it part of the city.

haha, I love the red white blue bags! not very waterproof though.
But I'm with moving, visit the hikingstores for a cover or new bag.
