    Questions about futon (mattresses)

I am thinking of buying a futon:

Does anybody know where to buy one?

Are they comfortable and long-lasting? I bought one many years ago (in Singapore) and after a couple of years it got all molded and stinking. But I might have bought it in Ikea, so that might explain it.

There used to be a futon shop on the left hand side as you go up the hill of Wellington Street.

Maybe google will help as I haven't been up there for ages.

Ito Futon is probably your best bet for quality futons. We bought one from them a couple of years ago and they were very helpful. It's the same place Cwbguy is thinking but they moved from Wellington street about 5 years ago.

I have slept on one for years but the first 6 months very not comfortable getting used to. Also avoid the thin cheap ones. And they do not roll up properly to make a sofa so forget that idea as a space saver. You are better off buying a hard Vono at Sogo or equivalent.
