    Do you know how long fruit and veg has been sitting in cold storage in HK ? Likely months already. As long as you have a decent sized refrigerator with a large enough crisper section for fruit and veg it's no different at all.

    Oranges and apples for example are usually 6- 12 months old before they get to your supermarket trolly.
    Capsicums, tomatoes, lettuce, onions, garlic, carrots, potatoes etc for example, are weeks old before you have had the chance to purchase them from your supermarket.

    are you indirectly boasting about getting your fruit & vegetables from China? If so, that's sad. I've seen first hand where these fruits & vegetables come from & I'll spare everyone the details....

    I buy mine from the organic stalls at Tai Po wet market, where they mostly come from farms in Lam Tsuen.
