Where do you buy your Christmas decorations?
Probably the street with the best selection / value is Fuk Wing Street in SSP

Charity Fairs. Great prices, unique selections and supporting charity.
The School for the blind had one a few weeks ago and always has a great selection.
Italian association fair at Sandy Bay is also good.
Caritas bazaar is probably the cheapest.
We've bought a lot of ours from Fuk Wing. We have two trees (home and office) and one was from Toys R Us and the other was from Aeon I think. A lot of the Christmas stuff (nick nack) you buy for a few dollars on Fuk Wing is the same stuff you paid 20 quid for at John Lewis back home...that said, we're less bothered with Christmas as the years go by in Hong Kong. We're not religious and the boys aren't bothered. CNY is the big one in our family now. This year they'll have their Minecraft Legos and we might have a turkey from CitySuper.
Brighten Store at the Flower Market
I was chatting to a Building seasonal decoration consultant the other day and she stated that the local property magnates spend more on their shopping mall and external building Christmas decorations than they do for Chinese New Year. Does anyone know anywhere that sells hong kong themed Christmas tree decorations (i want one as a souvenir)
I think it's hmv ... In elements mall, across from the grand cinema, there are 2 parts to the store, the rhs has gifts. The were/are selling boxes with 3 decorations, a junk, lantern and bird cage for $150. They are made of a v thin silver metal.
I bought several boxes as gifts, last year I could not find anything like this and they are perfect for posting as they are lightweight
