Cheaper compare to what? I am in Walmart (and other local supermarkets) from time to time. Their range is a bit different. Vegetables are way cheaper then HK. Once in a while I get a watermelon there, or walnuts.
That's all because I 'pass by', I would not go there on purpose.

Have bought toothpaste at Walmart in Shenzhen before, only a few bucks cheaper than buying at a pharmacy here... so really no point unless you are just passing by as @flameproof had mentioned.
