Have you contacted the seller? The couple of times have been given a refund the seller issued it. It's been on a credit cart, but there must be a way for octopus. May go into Alipay?

I doubt Octopus will handle the refund, you'd be better off going through the Taobao service, as they are essentially an escrow agent.

Paying Taobao by Octopus is handy, but the $1000 (for now) Octopus balance limit can be a pain.

It works well with small purchases, but if you're buying more expensive items and you have a daily max of how much you can charge your card then would not recommend it. We've gotten stuck a couple of times in car parks and buses cos our card didn't reload.

When you are refunded, the amount will stay in your taobao account and you can use it for other purchases.
