    Dancewear Hong Kong

Hi there, I'm putting on a show and I need to buy some cheap dancewear - preferably dresses that are of the latin/belly dance style. Any advice on where to go? I can only find really expensive shops!

Try Feliz Primavera tango shoes - Feliz Primavera but they may not be cheap. As far as I am aware, cheap dance costumes are rare in HK unless you head over to Hawkers Bazaar in SSP, there are traders who sell the material very cheaply ( I know which ones as I had to sew Halloween costumes for kids last year) and if you have a design, size chart, then you can ask one of the seamstresses there to make it for you.

Also some of the Tango/ Dance schools for advice. I did dance for a while until I moved out of HK Island and began working FT, but I suggest you google the dance schools - from tango ( many!) to salsa to the young student dance schools they would be able to help you with more options. Unless you make it yourself or buy the cheap fabric and take it to a tailor ( try World Wide House in Central) , then it will be expensive. ( my mum used to make my costumes and used whatever she could get her hands on)

Interesting post, as I still need some nice dancing shoes for my wedding. Checked Feliz Primavera, recommended above. nice! but max size 38! Feeling like having giant oversized feet now (39)!

Give them a call and see what they can do for you. I have size 39-40 feet and even now find that shoes I buy in Australia or Germany are too narrow for me. UK seems to be the best place to buy shoes for big feet. I have trouble buying shoes anywhere in Asia.
