Register for a consolidator account, it will give you a mainland China address. Send the item you mentioned earlier to there. It should be free delivery within mainland China and the ¥500 fee will not appear.

The shipping fee to HK is almost always wrong. There are two ways that work:

    1. Use a consolidator

    2. Ask seller to sell without any shipping fee and do SF collect pay (you may need SF account for that)
I have ordered. My friends have ordered. Even though you pay the shipping fee, they re-collect the shipping fee again when you get the item. So that's $30-40 shipping x 2. Hope the item is worth the $60-80 shipping fees.

I am really confused! Need help! First time Taobaoing!
I ordered 2 items from the same seller, put my address and purchased.
I didn't know about that consolidation option and I didn't pay any shipping fees, thought it was free delivery.
Seller has shipped the items on same day, courier is called YTO Express, since then it's sitting there in their Shenzhen facility for 3 days.
What's supposed to happen afterwards? Are they gonna deliver to my house and I pay COD or what exactly?

On taobao, normally shipping from China to HK (no free delivery) unless the item is expensive.
The courier will deliver the package to your shipping address and you pay COD.

Since the two items were from the SAME seller. The seller will sent out all the items to you in a SINGLE package.
(You don't need to take care how to consolidate your package).

Goods sitting there in Shenzhen for 3 days is not normal. You better ask for help from someone who can read Chinese to have a look on the status page. Earlier this year, Taobao has built in a consolidator service in the delivery option, so your items may be sitting there waiting for your instruction.

Thank you for your help guys!
I asked a local friend for help and the issue was that I didn't select a courier who ships to HK, paid additional 35 RMB and SF Express delivered the items 2 days later.
