    butcher's block

Was looking online to purchase a Butcher's block using amazon (and oil for it) but before I do so does anyone know where I can get a butcher's block in HK? Would rather get it locally if the price is similar.

Can't help but just wanted to ask what oil? My dad just used a scrubbing brush.

Supposedly mineral oil with bees wax. Or mink oil. I'm not an expert on this and just consulted the internet.

Thanks for the suggestions, I will check out that street.

I think IKEA has also mineral oil for wooden cutting boards. At least they had it a few years ago.

Ikea mineral oil. Great for 'untreated' tables too.

Thanks everyone. I successfully purchased one today.

It came with instructions in Chinese so I'll need someone to translate it for me later but they said that these boards are made from a type of wood that doesn't require oiling.
