    @Elegiaque

    Uh, beats me. I've never been there. Give them a call and ask?

    I googled around out of curiosity. There seem to be a lot of places like this.

    The Jolly Thinkers gets very busy, so much so that I think you need to book a table in advance and you maybe need to have a group. I'll ask around. We tend to be hermits though.

    Toys Club in Central have a much better variety of Board Games than Toys R Us or Sham Shui Po.

    Parties of 6 or more tend to gravitate toward hidden identity games which are incredibly fun in large groups. This includes games such Avalon, Secret Hitler, and Werewolf.
    From the Wheat and Wood article.

    I guess I have been out of it for a long time, had to look up what is "Secret Hitler (!)" and the rest.

    Here I was thinking backgammon, chess, monopoly, Mah Jong.

    Guess I need to get with the times.

    Try playing Splendor. We were recently introduced to it and hooked on it.

    why not play the video game version of board games, there are quite a few and best aspect, on ps4, they can be really cheap on sale every so often, from englisg version of monopoly, The Jackbox Party Pack, Hasbro Family Fun Pack etc.

    while this is not a traditional board game, 'power is knowledge' this is a ps4 multi player quiz game which is suitable for up to 8 players and player assigned forfeits (to make it fairier) and the best aspect, every person have their own buzzer/controls with a mobile phone app and ps4 game, excellent party game
