    Taobao return and refund

I have bought one HKD 500 piece item from Taobao, on receipt i found that one small part is broken. I talked to seller and he is insisting on return of broken item for refund.
What is the cost efficient and reliable way to return the item to Guangdong, Dongguan.

Dude its NOT rocket science, you take the product to SF express with the address you want it delivered to, you pay them and they deliver it.

Never buy anything that you may want to "return" from taobao. They will force you to ship it back or give you some shitty service and attitude.

Amazon on the other hand is willing to just give you a free item even if it costs a lot to close the issue. They also offer free refund shipping. Hassle free service. They are by far the best for customer service and efficient company on the planet.

Note that some stuff is near impossible to return to China, electronics for example. When you bring your stuff to SF, leave the box open. They want to see what's inside.

If you had the item shipped to HK via Cainiao just contact their customer service in the Taobao app. They will just refund you the money.

thank you for your comment. while reviewing SF website, I found many different promotion for China shipment so I wanted to make sure that I select the correct one. But yes, its not rocket science and such forums have no space for any question.

This is why it's not wise to buy electronics from China. It's possible to get stuff refunded but you'll need to navigate the Electronics import tax exemption system and I remember hearing that's it's very bureaucratic

Ok, sorry for the old thread revival..

Has anyone done this recently? I have had 2 items delivered, one damaged and one totally wrong item. Its a real pain to return by SF Express. They want the shop person's ID and all my login info for some reason.

If you do the Cainiao route and you don't pay, will you get a poor ranking on Taobao or other problems?
