    Frozen or fresh Rabbit meat

    Hi,

Does anyone know where to get affordable frozen or fresh rabbit meat? I understand that City Super sells it at $28/100g (previously frozen). Anything cheaper than that?

    Thanks!

not to sound cruel or anything but if you want fresh, why not just get a rabbit from a pet shop and do what you have to get a meal out of it.

I believe that would be illegal!

Perhaps the OP could take it along to a licenced slaughterhouse...

It will be well taken care of there, apparently. From the FEHD website:

Time for a rabbit joke :D

A precious little girl walks into a pet shop and asks, in the
sweetest little lisp, between two missing teeth, "Excuthe me,
mithter, do you keep widdle wabbits?"

As the shopkeeper's heart melts, he gets down on his knees so that he's on her level and asks, "Do you want a widdle white wabbit, or a thoft and fuwwy bwack Wabbit, or maybe one like that cute widdle bwown wabbit over there?"

She, in turn, blushes, rocks on her heels, puts her hands on her knees, leans forward and says, in a tiny quiet voice,
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .

"I don't think my python weally gives a thit."

Thanks lulumay! I will visit the shop and check if they sell rabbit meat.

As for going to a pet shop and picking a rabbit, slaughtering it.. hmm. That's a bit far out for me! And yes, I believe that is illegal.
