A friend who uses this advised us to check prices and the quality of search results in both English and Chinese. There is some difference according to them... might be some premiumisation in play.

The English app does not have a lot of the functionality of the Chinese app. Its quite stripped down

Anyone have the link for the app for Android? I entered "taobao english version hong kong" and the app downloaded was Chinese version, and could not change language setting to English.

You just download the Chinese version and go into settings and change the language to English.

Well I found out the English version is pretty much useless for trying to buy furniture as pretty much none of the sellers ship here. Chinese version also seem to have tons more products available in general.

I'm pretty sure that taobao has had an English version of itself in the mainland for years, or they definitely tried it years ago, with the same issues you guys are reporting.
