If you are satisfied with the tourist things and don't mind to pay extra price, those places are suffice.

But you would like to taste the real Chinese art with a fair price, I would suggest you to go to where Chinese calligraphers or painters go.

Tsi Ku Chai in Central is one of those shops. Of course there're some other places around but I like this one as it's convenient. Check out their website if you wish: [url=http://www.tsikuchai.com/]

I don't think the HK Museum is "touristy". Like any other art museum, it has reproductions of what is on the walls inside, plus related art. That, to me, would seem to be Chinese art by the best Chinese artists. Although you will have to see if it is the style you are seeking and at the price you want to pay.
If price becomes over-riding, head across the border to Shenzen and really save money.
